i had a headache this morning behind my left eye, but i believe that was from this past month's sinus/allergy issues i had been having from sneezing so much! I had my usual 1 cup of BLACK coffee and 3 hard boiled eggs and I am feeling fine!

Ok so far I have eaten 2 boiled eggs, a couple of black berries, and a handful of almonds. Lots of water so proud of that. I feel great. I started to feel like i was going to get a headache so I just drank some water. That helped. Cravings are minimal which i am surprised. I guess its because I have been preparing myself mentally for this life changing event. I am really excited. I can't wait to go grocery shopping for REAL FOOD tomorrow. Its Double Ad Wed at Sprouts, Sun Harvest, Sunflower Market. I am working on a turkey recipe right now. I will submit it for Dr. Ds approval. I hope it passes.

vitacost.com is a great resource to buy coconut oil at a good price. They also have many other items as well.

I'm feeling pretty good today as well. A little sluggish this morning, but doing great this afternoon. Had an organic Greek yogurt and a cup of blackberries for breakfast, a handful of almonds for a snack, some yoga yoga spice tea (no almond milk, no sweetener) and a spinach & mixed berry smoothie for lunch. Oh yeah, and plenty of water! I find that it's much easier to start my day if I have at least 12 oz of water as soon as I get out of bed - it gets things moving really quickly and helps me feel as if I'm flushing out those toxins that settled over night! Wild Alaskan Salmon, and organic asparagus, kale, snap pea saute is on the menu for dinner! ;-)

PS: I found some 100% pure young coconut water at NewFlower Market last night. It's not from coconut concentrate like a lot of commercial brands out there now, and is the freshist coconut water I've had apart from sticking a straw in one (and I've tried several popular brands). Keeping this on hand for post-cycling rides and any other time when I feel like I need a kick of something besides water. Can we post pics on here? I would love to be able to add pictures and/or video sometime.

Have any of you heard of Christina Pirello, from Christina Cooks on PBS? I love her show and find it *very* inspiring. She's a whole/real food advocate and has tons of awesome plant based veg & vegan recipes. I figure it's easier to find whole food recipes when they're vegetarian/vegan and then just add a protein source like salmon or eggs, etc.

Here's a link to her website. She has a great video on her home page about reclaiming your health by avoiding processed foods. :-)

I got a little late start on the week but went hard core Sat. I am addicted to sugar so I have gone cold turkey. Saturday was somewhat hard but I just kept focused and cooked/prepared items to stay on track. The recipes are awesome Dr. D!!! The first ones I have tried and liked! I made the cheese drop biscuits (although I couldn't find coconut flour this weekend so I used a biscuit mix that is made from bean flours-GF) I added a little garlic powder to them. That really helped with the craving satisfaction. I have been taking 500 mg Glutamine regularly to help. Sunday morning (Day #2) was hard. Woke up at 4 a.m. with massive headache. I pretty much had a low grade headache all day. I kept drinking lots of water and eating regularly. The only sugar I have had is blackberries and occasional apple. Monday (day #3) is much better, my eyes were very puffy this morning but no real bad headache.
